Students Excel in National Mathematics Competition

Principal

We are incredibly proud to announce that our students have achieved remarkable success in the National Mathematics Competition, with three of our brightest minds securing positions in the top 10 nationwide. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the dedication of both our students and our mathematics department.
Outstanding Performers
Leading the charge was Adebayo Temitope from SS3A, who secured the 3rd position nationally. Following closely behind were Okonkwo Chioma (5th position) and Ibrahim Fatima (8th position), both from SS2B. These exceptional students have brought great honor to our school and demonstrated the quality of education we provide.
Preparation and Dedication
The success didn't come overnight. Under the guidance of our dedicated Mathematics department, led by Mr. Johnson David, these students underwent intensive preparation sessions that lasted several months. The preparation included:
- Weekly problem-solving workshops
- Mock competitions and timed practice sessions
- One-on-one mentoring with senior mathematics teachers
- Collaborative study groups with peer learning
Recognition and Rewards
The school will be hosting a special recognition ceremony next Friday to celebrate these achievements. The students will receive academic scholarships and special recognition certificates. Additionally, they will serve as mathematics ambassadors, helping to mentor younger students interested in mathematics competitions.
Looking Forward
This success has motivated us to expand our mathematics enrichment programs. We are planning to establish a Mathematics Club and introduce advanced problem-solving courses for interested students. Our goal is to continue producing mathematically gifted students who can compete at national and international levels.
We congratulate all participants and look forward to even greater achievements in future competitions. This success reinforces our commitment to academic excellence and our motto of developing future leaders.
